I've had to wait for more bone spraypaint to arrive so I can start work on my Hive Tyrant, so have painted up a Landraider for my Deathwing force in the meantime. It was an old second-hand tank and judging by the multiple layers of paint this is its third incarnation.
The first part of this project was to convert it across to the Crusader pattern, This involved shifting the sponsons forward, removing the lascannons and building hurricane bolters out of stormbolter parts.
After the usual painting process, I tried my hand at adding bullet holes and paint chipping for the first time and also had a go at some freehand to try and break up the large flat spaces.
As a final touch, I added a Deathwing Terminator disembarking into combat when the front ramp is down.
