Guild Ball Silence

The start of a new DnD campaign is always a good excuse for painting a one off model, and with our group about to start a 3.5E Eberron campaign I've picked up Silence from the Guild Ball range.

I've painted him up as an Aerenal Elf (see face paint) and he will be played as either a Cleric or a Wizard, depending on party composition.

I've painted the ball he is holding with the same technique I use on plasma guns for 40k (every Dark Angels player learns to paint plasma!) but have taken it a step further by trying my hand at source lighting. Source lighting is a technique that has always terrified me, but I've made an honest attempt at it on this guy and am quite happy with how it has turned out.
